Glasgow's Learning is the name of the city's adult literacy and numeracy (ALN) initiative.
Set up by the Glasgow Community Learning Strategy Partnership (GCLSP), the initiative has responsibility for adult literacy and numeracy in Glasgow.
Around 65,000 adults in Glasgow could benefit from support with reading, writing and numbers. Created in 2001, the initiative raises awareness of ALN needs and develops an effective range of services that support learning throughout the city.
The initiative is made up of a diverse range of organisations including Glasgow City Council, Culture and Sport Glasgow, Glasgow Community Planning Ltd, the voluntary sector, Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board, the city's colleges and higher education institutions, Careers Scotland, Glasgow Housing Association and the employment and enterprise sector.
Learning is available in a variety of settings, from colleges to community centres, workplaces to libraries. It is also provided across the city in each of the ten Community Planning areas.
