Aye Write! 2012
Glasgow's Learning is holding 3 events at Aye Write! 2012 to celebrate learners' writing achievements. Why don't you and your learners get involved?
Theme
The theme - I belong to Glasgow, Glasgow belongs to me! - continues from last year and will focus on Changing Glasgow/Changing me; Discovering Glasgow; and Relationships. We hope it will inspire learners to think about their place in Glasgow, and the many facilities and cultural institutions which are there for all to enjoy and experience. It's also an exploration of the people of Glasgow, and their part in making Glasgow the city it is. This theme really got everyone thinking last year and feedback suggested it should be further developed this year.
Guidelines
To help you and your learners to get the most out of being involved this year, we have produced some ‘Guidelines for involvement', click here to find out more.
NB: Deadline for contributions - Friday 24th February 2012
This year, to allow us to better plan displays and performances, all learners' work must be submitted by Friday 24th February. Also, we need to know the names of anyone wishing to read their work out at any of the events so that we can plan the programme and give people a chance to practice reading out in the venue the week before the festival.
