Awareness of Dyslexia in the Workplace - FREE Training Session
A group of 16 experienced ALN practitioners have been trained to deliver a basic dyslexia awareness session for ALN Tutors, Development Workers, Managers, Supervisors or community groups in Glasgow.
The session provides participants with general information about dyslexia and how it can affect adults in the workplace or in a learning environment.
At the end of the session, participants will have:
- An awareness of the characteristics of dyslexia and how it may affect adults differently in everyday life, work and when learning
- An awareness of how to identify adults with different learning styles
- A basic knowledge of the support and possible resources available and how to access them
- An understanding of the different screening and assessment methods that are available.
The two-hour training session can be adapted to suit the needs of the group and consists of activities, case studies, discussions and information sharing.
