The Gardener's Ark

A green-fingered project by a group of Adult Learners from Leverndale Hospital has resulted in the creation of a beautiful plant-filled boat. The Ark, inspired by works of art from Glasgow Museums' collections, has been on tour around venues in Glasgow throughout the summer.

The Gardener's Ark is part of an exciting partnership project involving The Acorn Project, Community Learning, Occupational Therapy and The Open Museum. Many areas of expertise were brought together to support the Adult Learners' group.

Those involved would like to thank the nursing staff at Leverndale hospital for their ongoing support and participation in the project.
